Subject + verb + complement​

  • If the infinitive ends in consonant+ -y, the result is –ies: study- he studies, try- she tries

  • Add -es to verbs that end with -o. do-does, go - goes.​

  • Add -s to the base form of most verbs. works, likes, plays, calls.

  • Add -es to verbs that end in -s, -sh, -ch, or -x. washes, watches, relaxes.
