Narrative text tells both imaginative and personal stories, while Recount tells events that actually really happened in the past.
Narrative has a plot (conflict/climax) while Recount does not have one.
Then, time of the story is often unclear in Narrative while Recount tells the time of the story in detail

The plot is what happens in a story.
However, a plot is not a simple sequence of events. A strong plot is centered on one moment—an action or event—that raises a dramatic question, which must be answered throughout the course of the story.

Orientation (tells about who, when, where the stories happened)
Complication (tells bout problems, conflict, and climax that happened)
Resolution (tells about falling action or ending of the story)
Re-orientation (tells about moral of the story)
