Past Activities (Past Tenses)
Past Tense divide into :
Simple Past Tense
Past Continuous Tense
Past Perfect Tense

Simple Past Tense
is mainly used to explain or describe activities happened in the past and have passed.
Subject + Past verb (basic verb + -d/-ed or irregular verb + Object
Example:
a. I saw a movie yesterday.
b. We lived in Australia for two years.
c. I finished work, walked to the beach, and found a nice place to swim.
Note : The verbs with red color is a basic verb + -d/-ed or irregular verb.

Past Continuous Tense
is mainly used to explain or describe activities happened in the past but still occur to the present.
Subject + was/were + verb + ing + Object
Example:
a. Dika was washing his motorcycle when I came..
b. You were talking to the old man.
c. I wasn't looking for him anyway.
Note : The verbs with yellow color is a verb + ing.

Past Perfect Tense
is mainly used to explain or describe events that have perfectly passed and have no connections with the present whatsover.
Subject + had+ perfect verb (verb+ -d/-ed or irregular verb) + Object
Example:
a. Soekarno had died a long time ago.
b. Doni had realized the fact that he was not the only son.
c. Inca Civilization had collapsed millenia ago.
Note : The verbs with green color is a verb + -d/-ed or irregular verb.

Simple Present Tense
we use this tense for regular action in the present time, telling facts, habits and things that always true.
Subject + present verb (basic verb) + Object
Example:
a. I take the bus to the office.
b. A dog has four legs.
c. I get up early every day.
d. They speak english at school.
Note : The verbs with red color is a basic verb.

Present Continuous Tense
we use this tense when somebody doing something, something happening and talk about something that is happening at the moment.
Subject + tobe (is,am,are) + verb + ing + Object
Example:
a. We are learning English right now.
b. It is raining at the moment.
c. Sarah is studying hard for her exam.
Note : The verbs with yellow color is a basic verb + ing.

Present Perfect Tense
we use this tense for action that occured in the past, but has result in the present, talk about general experience and events that began in the past and haven't changed.
Subject + has/have + Verb-3 + Object
Example:
a. I have never eaten blue cheese before.
b. I have just eaten lunch.
c. Rani has worked at Bank Mandiri for 3 years.
Note : The verbs with purple color is a verb-3.

The Use of "Going to"
is normally used to indicate the future but with some type of connection to the present, when intend to do something in the future, signs that something is going happen and something about to happen.
Subject + tobe (is, am, are) + going to + basic verb + object
Example:
a. They are going to retire to the beach.
b. I think it is going to rain.
c. The storm is going to come.
Note : The verbs with green color is a basic verb.

The Use of "Will"
is where there is no implicit or explicit connection to the present, we can use will for thing that decide to do now, believe something about the future and make an offer, a promise or a threat.
Subject + will + basic verb + object
Example:
a. I will buy one for you too.
b. I think it will rain later so take an umbrella with you.
c. I will give you a discount if you buy it right now.
Note : The verbs with red color is a basic verb.
