​A trapezoid is a quadrilateral (a shape with four sides) with exactly one pair of parallel sides (the parallel sides are called bases)

​An Isosceles Trapezoid is a trapezoid whose legs(nonparallel sides) are congruent.

​Properties of an Isosceles Trapezoid

1. The base angles are congruent.

2. The diagonals are congruent.
