Objective: Identify solutions given equations in slope intercept form.

CONCLUSION

When you are given the equation and a point...

and you PLUG the point INTO the equation...

If the left and right sides end up equal, the point is ON THE LINE.

If the left and right sides are unequal, the point is NOT ON THE LINE.
