​What is narrative text?

​

​Do you like a story?

Pernahkan anak-anak semua mendengar ataupun membaca sebuah teks cerita? Cerita yang seperti apa yang anak-anak sukai? cerita rakyat? mitos/legenda? fabel? atau cerita dongeng?

​

Nah, di dalam Bahasa Inggris, kita menyebut cerita-cerita seperti itu dengan nama Narrative Story.​

​So, narrative text / narrative story is an imaginative story aimed to entertain the readers.

(Teks naratif adalah cerita imajinasi/khayalan yang tujuannya adalah untuk menghibur para pembaca.)

​

Teks naratif ini banyak jenisnya, antara lain Legenda (legend), cerita rakyat (folktale/folklore), cerita binatang (fable), dongeng (fairy tales), dan lain-lain.
