Singular& Plural Noun structure.

There is.
Singular (Kata nama tunggal)
There is a cat. A cat is one cat. So you should use there is.
Singular means one thing (satu benda). When the noun (kata nama) is singular (tunggal) then use "is"
a) There is a car in front of me.
b) This is a car.
*Make sure to use the article "a" or "an" before the noun. "an" is used for words that start with A,E,I,O,U. Example: An Ostrich.

Plural nouns (kata nama ganda)
There are cats. There are two cats. When there is more than one cat or thing. Use "are".
E.g
There are cars in front of me.
These are new toys. (These is the plural of "this").

DO NOT TRY TO UNDERSTAND HOW AND WHY IRREGULAR PLURAL NOUNS WORK. ITS EASIER TO MEMORISE THEM.

Just add -s . For O and X such as Tomato and fox, just add -es

Foot, tooth, goose (oo-> ee) | Feet, teeth, geese. |
Man, woman (a - e) | Men, women. |
Irregular Nouns
There are different rules, but just try and memorise them.

The plural of sheep is still sheep!
So you can say...
There is a sheep in the farm. (one sheep)
There are sheep in the farm. (more than one sheep)
BOTH ARE CORRECT
Some other nouns include moose, swine, shrimp, trout, deer, salmon.
FUN FACT

Can you count things like snow, water and fire?
I see two snow on the ground, I can see 5 waters on the floor.
These are wrong.
You can just say, I see snow on the ground. I see water on the floor.
For uncountable nouns, we mainly use "is".
There is snow (ok). There are snow(x).
There is water (ok). There are water (x).
You should NOT give plural -s to uncountable nouns E.G SNOWS,WATERS

There are 7 windows in the building. There are also 7 people. There are 4 women and 2 men. There is a child. He is a boy. There are 3 pictures behind the boy. On the left of the boy, there is a woman exercising. There are two dumbbells on her hands.
This is my room. In my room, there are three balloons and 3 pictures on the wall. There is also a bed and a chair with a blue pillow on top. There are 4 butterflies and 6 stars on the wall. I love my room.
