Microsoft Word is a "word processing program" that creates letters, reports, manuals, memos, newsletters and brochures quickly and efficiently. This is the most basic program that is widely applicable in various settings.

Located at the very top of the screen that displays the name of the program and the document you are currently using.
TITLE BAR :
MENU BAR :
It is below the Title Bar and displays the MENU. It is used to give instructions to the software.
STANDARD TOOLBAR :
It contains icons to quickly select commonly used commands, such as opening a document, etc.
FORMATTING TOOLBAR :
It contains icons to quickly select formatting and layout features, such as BOLD, ITALIC, UNDERLINE.

It allows change of margin and tab settings of a document.
RULER :
STATUS BAR :
It displays information about the area of the document displayed on screen and the position of the insertion point.
TEXT AREA :
It is the area to type a document
