An Adverb Clause...
is a subordinate clause that modifies a verb, an adjective, or an adverb.

An adverb clause tells...
how, how much, when, where, to what extent, or under what conditions.
Note - When a clause is in the beginning of a sentence, it must be separated by a comma.
Examples:
The squirrel ran as though it were being chased by a cat.
[The adverb clause modifies the verb ran and tells how the squirrel ran.]

Examples:
Many people are influenced by the things they see while they are on social media. [The adverb clause modifies the verb see and tells when people are being influenced.]
Popular artists attract a lot of attention wherever they go. [The adverb clause modifies the verb attract and tells where popular people attract a lot of attention.
The boy considered getting a date to prom essential because he wanted it to be a night to remember. [The adverb modifies the verb considered and tells why the boy considered getting a date to prom essential.]
William likes reggae music more than he likes rap music. [The adverb clause modifies the adverb more and tells to what extent William likes reggae music.]
