• ​Report text is a text that gives facts / information about any topics such as animals, plants, things or natural phenomenon (Teks report adalah teks yang memberikan fakta atau informasi tentang suatu topik seperti hewan, tumbuhan, benda ataupun fenomena alam).

​

​Report text usually consists of three structures:

1. ​Title (Judul)

   ​tells the readers about the topic of the report (memberitahu pembaca tentang topik yang dilaporkan).

2. General ​Classification (Klasifikasi umum)

   ​gives information or definition about the subject of the report. It usually begin with a general statement. (memberikan informasi atau pengertian tentang subyek report teks. Biasanya dimulai dengan pernyataan umum)

3. Description​ (deskripsi)

   ​gives important facts or features (parts, habits/behaviour, qualities) of the subject. (memberikan fakta atau gambaran (bagian, kebiasaan/tingkah laku, kualitas) suatu subyek laporan.
