To make it easier to compare fractions you can also change each fraction to have the same denominator. Once the fractions have the same denominator the number with the greater numerator is the greater number​.

Cross Multiply

One of the easiest ways to compare fractions is to cross multiply. To cross multiply you will multiply the numerator of the first number to the denominator of the second and vice versa
