Body Paragraphs

  • Three (3) body paragraphs, each is 5 - 8 sentences long

  • One argument per body paragraph

  • Topic sentence - First sentence of each paragraph which introduces the main idea of the paragraph

  • Explain the argument with evidence from other source and explanation in your own words

  • Conclusion sentence - Last sentence of each paragraph which restates argument and wraps up paragraph

Example:

​Magic Mountain is a convenient communite from Bakersfield, which makes the experience more enjoyable. Other theme parks can be 2 to 3 hours from where I live, which makes it difficult to travel there. For example, Disneyland is 3+ hours from my house. Unlike other theme parks, traveling an hour and half is an appropriate amount of time to go to a very fun theme park especially if you get season passes so you can go whenever you want and it doesn't take long to get here.
