AN EXAMPLE
The character of Amal is strong and independent. An example of this is in chapter 10 where Amal says "Suddenly I felt tired. Tired of feeling powerless. Tired of denying my own needs because someone else needed something more." (Saeed, A) This shows that Amal is rejecting her families message of letting it go. She wanted to have power and not stop because she was a women.

AN EXAMPLE
Bahrain as a country has limited soft power. This is seen in their GDP and exports. According to tradingeconomics.com (2021) Bahrian's exports more than it imports in general, leaving it dependent on other countries. The World Bank (World Bank, 2021)shows that Bahrain's GDP is also much smaller than it's neighbours. Through these soft power weaknesses Bahrain gives up a lot of power to have a stronger economy. This puts it at risk.
