Future Perfect Tenses

Future Perfect Simple

• We use the future perfect simple to talk about actions that will be finished by a certain point in the future:

By this time next week, I will have finished my project

We will probably have lost our reservation when we get there.

• We can also use it to emphasize the length of an action (with state verbs):

​

How long will you have been together when you get married next year?

​

• We form the present perfect with will + have/has and the verb in past participle:

Future Perfect Tenses

NOTE: When using the future perfect simple we must always mention when that action will have happened. We usually use the prepositions "by"​

• We form yes/no questions in the future perfect simple by switching the subject and the first auxiliary:

Present Perfect Tenses

• To form Wh- questions we simply add the question word at the beginning of our question:
