Campaign Videos
A political campaign video is any video used to appeal for votes or financial support for an election campaign. Campaign videos can garner general support for a campaign or opposition for another candidate (opposition or attack ads.) The goal for a political advertisement is often to persuade voters, whether for (or against) a candidate. An introductory campaign video is a must for most candidates – it allows you to speak directly to your voters and supporters in your own words, wholly controlling your campaign’s message.

As you write your introductory campaign video, start with introducing yourself, the office you’re running for and why you are running. Be confident. As you speak, remember that how you communicate is just as important as what you communicate. Be positive and self-assured. People want to vote for someone they like, someone they can imagine spending time with, and believe in. Have fun, but stay on task.
