Yahoo was launched on January 1994. Yahoo is a search engine. In 1998 Yahoo almost brought Google but fail. Yahoo! battled Google a major competitor in the search engine industry—for many years in an attempt to claim a larger share of the market. Yahoo originally named Jerry's Guide to the World Wide Web. Yahoo largest headquarters in Sunnyvale, California. Yahoo can speak 12 languages. ​

Yahoo on the move

Yahoo change the new logo in 2013. Yahoo new CEO is Merissa Meyer and the Chief is David Filo. The chairman is Maynard Webb. In February 2008 the Microsoft Corporation offered to buy Yahoo! for $44.6 billion, but this proposal was rejected by Yahoo!, and Microsoft then rescinded its offer. However, negotiations between the companies continued, and on July 28, 2009, an agreement was reached in which Yahoo! would use Microsoft’s search engine, Bing, for its Web site and would handle premium advertisements for Microsoft’s Web site, an arrangement scheduled to last for 10 years.

Jerry Yang

Yang was born on 6th November 1968 in Taipei, Taiwan. He moved to the U.S with his family at the age of 10. Yang did not know how to speak the English language however he became fluent in just three years.  He went to Stanford University. Jerry worked with David Filo.
