How do we form echo questions?
To form them we normally take the last part of a sentence but sometimes you can use the entirety of it. We can also use a wh-word at the end. Ex:
"I baked a cake for Jojo, it took me 2 days."
"Two days? That's a lot of time for one cake!"
3
How do we form reply questions?
They are formed using the auxiliary verb or modal verb contained in the statement that we are listening. If there is no auxiliary or modal verb, we use do or did. Ex:
"I can't watch horror movies."
"Can't you?"
"I left the party at 12"
"You did?"
4
How do we form reply questions?
In case that the main verb of the sentence is the verb to be (am, is are, was, were) we will use it to create the reply question. Ex:
"I am so sleepy..."
"You are?"
