What Self-Control Really Means

  • Being able to regulate your thoughts, feelings and actions.

  • Ability we use to stop and think before making a decision so we can do what is best in the moment.

  • It is an important skill because we can't just all do whatever we want in the moment.

  • We have to learn to think about our behaviours so we can make the best choices possible.

How does it help me?

  • It helps me think about what we do or say so we can make the best decisions possible.

  • It helps us be socially appropriate in different places, show kindness to friends and helps us finish the tasks that we need to do.
