​The Bible is divided into two sections known as Testaments. A Testament is a statement of belief that gives direction. (Vocabulary.com) The first part of the Christian Bible that tells about the Jews, their history, and God's words to them in the time before Jesus Christ was born is called the Old testament while the second part that records the events of the life of Jesus, the Christ and the works of his followers after Him is called the New Testament
