Remember that to make a triangle you must satisfy the triangle innequality theorem: The sum of any two sides must be greater than the third.
Also if you have a triangle, the triangle sum theorem states that all angles must add up to 180⁰.

Circumference is the distance around a circle.
Know the formula
C=πd
Circumference
Know the formula for finding area of a circle.
A = πr²
Area
Circles
*****Make sure these formulas are written on your formula sheet. You will need to study them as they are not on the sheet for the FSA. They have to be memorized.
Remember diameter is half of the radius. d= 2r

You must know your angle relationships. Several of us forgot them and that we could set up equations using them. This will be on FSA so we need to go back and make sure we can do this. Write these on a sheet of paper and put them in your notebook.
Right angles = 90⁰
Complementary angles are angles whose sum is 90⁰.
Supplementary angles are angles whose sum is 180⁰
All straight lines measure 180⁰

Let us not forget our area formulas for squares, rectangles, parallelograms and triangles.
We need these for area of composite figures as well as Volume and Surface area.
Make sure you label these on your formula sheet so you can study them before the FSA.

What is the area of the composite shape?
Rectangle = 54, triangle = 18, total = 54 + 18 = 72 square units
Rectangle = 54, triangle = 90, total = 54 + 90 = 144 square units

Remember that volume is how much a container will hold.
Ex. Filling a pool with water. How much dirt will a planter hold. How much soda is in a can.
Surface Area is the sum of the areas of all the sides in a figure.
Ex. How much paint will go on a wall. How much wrapping paper is needed to wrap a present.
