What is the TSI?
It is the Texas Success Initiative and it assess students in reading, mathematics, and writing skills.
It was created to evaluate a students' readiness for high-level coursework and identify areas of additional support.

It is best before enrolling into any college-level courses

TSI Reading Section
30 MC
four sections: Literary Analysis, Main Idea and Supporting Details, Inferences in a Text or Texts and Author's Use of Language.

TSI Writing Section & Essay
24 MC questions which cover Essay Revision, Agreement, Sentence Structure, and Sentence Logic
develop a well -written 5 paragraph persuasive essay on a specific topic

TSI Diagnostic
The ELAR Diagnostic Test contains 48 multiple-choice questions, of which 24 are reading-focused and 24 are writing-focused.
