Poll

Do you like to create and share things? What do you like to create?

8

Poll

We have discussed copyright in terms of the boy’s drawing and things like music.Does Copyright apply to things like books or EPIC, RAZ-Kids, things we find online?

I want to write a book about Mountain Lions. Can I go to EPIC! and copy word for word to write my book?

9

You need to write it in your own words.

One way to do this is to...

  1. Read about Mountain Lions,

  2. Close the book or turn off the iPad.

  3. Then write down what you remember without looking at the book.

You can also write down the name of the book or website you found the information in.

Poll

Another thing I see students doing is searching for images online. Say I want to change the wallpaper on my iPad. Or I am writing about a famous person. Can I find a photo of Brittney Spears or Tom Brady online & take a screenshot for my iPad wallpaper or to use in my writing?

11

Use a Fair Use site to find images.

SOME images online

are OK to use without getting permission!

Try looking on PhotosForClass.com for pictures.

Better yet, create your own image to use!

Also try CreativeCommons Searches for Fair Use pictures. We can not just screenshot and use things we find online. It isn't fair and it is stealing.
