• ​Are used to join words , phrases, clauses or sentences together.

• ( And , Or , But , Because , So )​

​The two types of conjunctions that are most commonly used are:


Coordinating conjunctions
Subordinating conjunctions.

​Coordinating Conjunctions

​Used to join two equal parts of a sentence together.

And is used to join words or sentences with the similar ideas.​

Although

Although is used to show contrasting ideas.

Since is used to introduce a cause or a reason.

Unless

Unless is used to introduce an exception to a statement.
