Measure of Center (Measure of Central Tendency): 3 ways to describe the center of a data set.
MeAn: The average of a data set. To calculate Add up all the numbers and Divide by how many numbers there are.
MOde: The number or numbers that occur most OFTEN. There can be more than one mode, if a number appears the same amount in the data set: 2222 and 3333. There can be NO mode if there is not a number that is repeated.

Vocabulary, continued
Median: The value appearing at the center of a sorted version of the list, or the MeAn of the two central values if the list contains an even number of values.
Put the numbers in order from least to greatest.
Check off the smallest then the largest.
Keep moving to the middle of the data set.
If it is an odd set of numbers circle the middle number. There will be the same amount of numbers on each side of the circled number.
If it is an even set of numbers circle the two middle numbers and find the MeAn. (Add two numbers and Divide by 2)
