Born in Madrid in the 16th century, Felix (colloquially known as Lope de Vega) would become a key component of the Golden Age of Spain. He wrote over 1,800 pieces of literature.

He was taught Latin and Castilian (Spanish) by a poet. Later, he went to the Imperial College for humanities. Later, Lope de Vega served in the military in the Grand Armada.

His writing was inspired by the Ancient Greeks and later evolved to romantic. He portrayed kings, nobles, and commoners alike. Ultimately, he would be known for his romantic comedies. He used rhymes in his poems.

Once at the court, her gifts "dazzled the court" and eventually she was tested by 40 scholars. She decided she had a disinclination for marriage despite the many suiters. That let her to seek freedom to study in a convent. She would be known as Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz.

Sor Juana's style was very Baroque. She uses the deception of appearances, which was very avant-garde. Her feminism stands out in her works. Being a woman of reason, not passion, her feminist views target the illogical reasoning of men.

Gustavo was born in Seville (southern Spain) and is considered Spain's first modern poet. He was influenced by his brother, who was a painter.

In Spain, he worked on Zarzuelas. Later, he was caught drawing and lost his job. He fell in love with an upper-class Opera singer and it did not work out. All of this contributed to his melancholy and disappointment.
