Today we are going to learn how to say what you like and dislike in French.

Look at the list of phrases you matched up on the previous activity (see next slide). What do you notice about the verbs? ​Then check your answer on the following slide.

1. There are two verbs - the verb 'to like' and the verb 'to blog'

2. After the verb of like/dislike​, the verb needs to be in infinitive form.

These are examples of infinitives - the basic form of the verb

bloguer - to blog

envoyer - to send

partager - to share

prendre - to take​

In French, the infinitive form often ends in '-er', but not always.

Prendre (to take), faire (to do) are also infinitives, but end in '-re'.​
