פסוקים א-ה

א) וַיָּקָם וַיֵּלַךְ וִיהֽוֹנָתָן בָּא הָעִֽיר

ב) וַיָּבֹא דָוִד נֹבֶה אֶל־אֲחִימֶלֶךְ הַכֹּהֵן וַיֶּחֱרַד אֲחִימֶלֶךְ לִקְרַאת דָּוִד וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ מַדּוּעַ אַתָּה לְבַדֶּךָ וְאִישׁ אֵין אִתָּֽךְ

ג) וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִד לַֽאֲחִימֶלֶךְ הַכֹּהֵן הַמֶּלֶךְ צִוַּנִי דָבָר וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי אִישׁ אַל־יֵדַע מְאוּמָה אֶת־הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר־אָֽנֹכִי שֹׁלֵֽחֲךָ וַֽאֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִךָ וְאֶת־הַנְּעָרִים יוֹדַעְתִּי אֶל־מְקוֹם פְּלֹנִי אַלְמוֹנִֽי

ד) וְעַתָּה מַה־יֵּשׁ תַּֽחַת־יָֽדְךָ חֲמִשָּׁה־לֶחֶם תְּנָה בְיָדִי אוֹ הַנִּמְצָֽא

ה) וַיַּעַן הַכֹּהֵן אֶת־דָּוִד וַיֹּאמֶר אֵין־לֶחֶם חֹל אֶל־תַּחַת יָדִי כִּֽי־אִם־לֶחֶם קֹדֶשׁ יֵשׁ אִם־נִשְׁמְרוּ הַנְּעָרִים אַךְ מֵֽאִשָּֽׁה        

1. David leaves רמה and goes to נוב.

2. נוב is the location of the Mishkan.

3. David shows up in נוב and is very hungry.

4. Achimelec​h, the Kohen Gadol, asks David why he is alone.

5. David explains that he is on a secret mission from Shaul and his men were in a secret location.

6. The entire population of נוב ​were Kohanim. There primary food was Terumah, which is forbidden for non-Kohanim.

7. There was also non-Terumah bread in the city, but only holy bread. ​Bread from the שלחן in the Mishkan.
