​Mum: Jane, I’m on my way to the hospital. You brother has broken his arm.

​Jane: What? Is it serious? Are you with Tim now?

​Mum: I’m not sure. He was taken to hospital by his friend’s mum. She’s with your brother now.

​Jane: What happened to him?

​Mum: He was sitting on the swing while his friend was pushing him. I guess his friend pushed too hard and Tim fell off the swing. He must have landed on his arm when he fell.

​Jane: Aw, that sounds terrible!

​Mum: I tried to call you a few times but you were talking on the phone when I called you. Who were you talking to? Why did it take so long?

​Jane: I was talking to Amy. She twisted her ankle when we were having PE this morning. She left early to see the doctor. I called to tell her about today’s homework and she told me about her visit to the doctor.

​Jane: I’ve finished most of it. I’ll do revision after I finish my homework. Don’t worry.
