About Food Chain​

The kind of organism comes first in every food chain is called Producers.

The source of energy for producers is the Sun.​

Meanings:​

-A food chain is a linear network of links in a food web starting from producer organisms and ending at an apex predator species, detritivores, or decomposer species. A food chain also shows how organisms are related to each other by the food they eat. Each level of a food chain represents a different trophic level. According to Wikipedia

-​Producers are autotrophs, or organisms that produce their own food. Plants and algae are examples of producers. They are at the bottom of the food chain because they are eaten by other organisms, and they don't need to eat for energy.By Deena Hauze.

​A decomposer is an organism that breaks down organic materials from dead organisms to obtain energy.
