Have you ever noticed how the ground feels under your feet wherever you go? If you go to the beach, you find sand, if you go to the mountains, the ground is usually rocky and steep. Well, there are names for these feelings and more! A landform is something that describes different types of land such as mountains, deserts, valleys, and coasts.

Mountains are steep landforms that consist mainly of rock and soil. Have you ever gone hiking on a mountain? You might have even seen some squirrels or owls!

A desert is a landform that consists of sand and rock. You usually do not see a lot of plants in a desert but you might see some scorpions or snakes!
