The Start Here module gives the students an introduction to the course, instructor, and content.

Students go through this module as the first step in starting the course when it opens. It is usually used as attendance verification as well.
The following slides show what can be found on each page of the Start Here module.

The following pages will introduce you to the course environment, course policies, your classmates, and your instructor. There will also be a page that addresses specifics of how your computer should be set up to ensure that a technology problem does not interfere with your work.
You will be given a reading quiz over basic information from these pages, and you must score 100% on the quiz before you may begin the course. Therefore, it is important that you review all pages within the Start Module carefully and completely.

Be sure to read and respond to your classmates' introductions.
Introduce Yourself!
The key to success in any online course is committment. Online courses demand as much if not more time than traditional classroom courses. It's a good idea to log in at least once a day to check for updates, announcements, e-mail, etc. Expect to work hard in an online course.
