• Setting – the time, place and culture (society norms) of a story

• Characters - 

  • Protagonist – the main character in a story

  • Antagonist – the character or force in conflict with the protagonist

• Conflict – problems that arise as characters struggle to reach their goals

• Theme- the central idea or truth a story reveals about life

  • it is a moral, life lesson, message, or meaning
