Reported Speech (RS)
What is it?
RS allows us to tell someone what another person said before.
In reported speech we don't need to use the exact words that were used by the first person.

Use reported speech to report (to tell somebody) what another
person said.
We often introduce reported speech with said or told (+ person)
After said or told 'that' is optional.

Pronouns often change in reported speech,
e.g. I changes to he or she.
DS: 'I'm tired.'
RS: She told me (that) she was tired.
Subject pronouns, object pronouns and even possessives change in reported speech
