Substitution

A. ONE/ONES - after adjectives or demonstratives (this, that, those, these, etc.) BUT not ​uncountable nouns.

B. ​REPLACE noun / noun phrase with a quantifier (some, any, all, every,etc)

C. DO avoid repeating the main verb in coordinate clauses (AND, OR) and COMPARISONS ​

D. SO/NEITHER + AUX. + SUBJECTcoordinate clauses when the action is the same in both

E. IF​ clauses substitute with IF SO / IF NOT
