Week 1 Points to Ponder

- Length ​varies from 3M to 10M

- Use only for appropriate length measurement

​​Pull Push Rule

- use for longer distances more than 10M up to 100M.

- ​wipe off dirt before and after every use to avoid rust and stains.​

​​Roll Up Tape Measure

​8 oz. are for light materials (plywood and nails ranging from 1" to 2 1/2 ")

​

16 oz. are for heavy materials (plank, board and nails ranging from 3" above)​

​

Hammer head should be perpendicular ​with nail head.

​

Hammer not more than ​6" above head.

Caution: Do not use to pull out Big hard nails. ​​

Claw Hammer

- for cutting across the grain.

- for cutting along the grain.​

Saw Teeth Setting: (Lingig)

- 50% of total height of teeth​ (if the teeth height is 3mm setting should be 1.5mm max)

- useful in marking wood joints cutting angles.

- use to check / measure the squareness in Cabinet making, Door & Window Jambs, Layouting.

Framing Square
