To express habits and routines
Repeated actions
General truths
unchanging situations etc.
There are some more uses but this are the most common ones

3rd PERSON RULE
RULE FOR HE/SHE/IT
In this rule we add S to the verbs with the 3rd person only in the affirmative sentences.

It dances
This APPLIES ONLY FOR THE AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCES

AUXILIARIES DO / DOES
THE AUXILIARIES APPEAR FOR FIRST TIME IN THE NEGATIVE SENTENCES
The auxiliaries help to construct a sentences in the negative for first time, and they are completaly necesesary for the 2 types of questions.
In negative - don´t / doesn´t
yes/no question - Do you ...?
WH question - Where do you ...?
