• Change double negatives to addition then use our previous rules.

• i.e. -6-(-5)=-6+5=-1​

• Remember that a double negative on a number creates addition of that number.

• i.e. 7-(-3)=10​

1. Read the problem and interpret what it is asking for.

2. Write an expression.
