Say something, Say something about. Say samething to somebody.
Use to indicate that you are saying something to someone, the structure is : you say something to someone.
Example: Indira says the truth to her mother.

Tell somebody something. Tell somebody to do something, Tell somebody that...
Use it when giving information like say, but with tell the structure is Tell somebody something.
Example: Indira tells her mother a secret.
