How to use ALLER with transportation
Your translation has to change!
For example... in ENGLISH, we say... "I'm flying to Paris." The French would envision you flying like a bird.
Instead, they say... "I'm going to Paris by plane."
Je vais à Paris en avion.
Let's look at some more examples...

Change your translation...
In English we would say... "I'm walking to the gym." In French, it's going to be "I'm going to the gym by foot."
SAY WHERE YOU ARE GOING (aller)... and then by which mode of transportation...
"Je vais au gymnase à pied."

Je vais au parc en voiture. (ALLER + type of transportation)
Anne is biking to the library. → "Anne is going to the library on bike. "
