​Definition of label

​A label is a piece of paper, plastic film, cloth, metal, or other material affixed to a container or product, on which is written or printed information or symbols about the product or item. Information printed directly on a container or article can also be considered labeling. Product labels can be made from a variety of materials. Common materials include: paper or cardboard (often attached with plastic, twine or metal staples), cloth, metal (often aluminum), and plastic.

​PENGERTIAN LABEL

​Dari definisi di atas kita bisa menyimpulkan bahwa Label adalah

teks yang dituliskan di bungkus produk, atau diselipkan di dalam bungkus produk, atau ditempelkan di produk untuk memberikan informasi rinci dari produk tersebut.

A. Food label (label makanan)

​a. To give detailed information of the product (untuk memberikan

informasi rinci tentang sebuah produk) It is used to identify type,

size, brand, product line, manufacturer and other product-specifi

information in order to inform the consumer and encourage a

purchase.

​b. To choose healthy and safe products (agar dapat memilih produk

yang sehat dan aman)

c. To avoid harmful effects (untuk menghindari efek/efek samping

  yang

​ membahayakan)

d. To get the best result (untuk mendapatkan hasil terbaik)

​

​​Language Feature

Unsur kebahasaan untuk memahami label produk obat, makanan dan minuman.

a. Ungkapan dan kosa kata yang lazim pada setiap produk obat,

makanan dan minuman

b. Tata bahasa :

1. Kalimat Imperative ( Command and Prohibition )

  Command                 = V1 + O 

​

Example :  Use the soft material!

                   Shake well before use!

​2. Prohibition                

a. Do not + V1 + O 

    Example :  Do not consume after expired ate!

b. No + Ving + complement 

​ ​ ​ Example :  No accepting if the seal is broken!

3. Penggunaan nominal singular dan plural secara tepat, dengan atau

​​ tanpa a, the, this, those, my, their, dan sebagainya secara tepat dalam

​ ​ frasa  nominal

4. Kata Bantu modal yang lazim
