It all starts with God.

• The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your own happiness.

• It's not about you.

• Focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose.

• You were made by God and for God- and until you understand that, life will never make sense.

• God is not just the starting point of your life, He is the source of it.

"For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him." Col 1:16

You are not an accident.

• Long before you were conceived by your parents, you were conceived in the mind of God.

• God left no detail to chance. He planned it all for his purpose.

• God never does anything accidentally, and he never makes mistakes.

• God made you so he could love you.

• The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us.

"I am your Creator., You were in my care even before you were born." Isaiah 44:2A

Everyone's life is driven by something.

• Knowing your purpose gives meaning to your life.

• Knowing your purpose simplifies your life.

• Knowing your purpose focuses on your life.

• Knowing your purpose motivates your life.

• Knowing your purpose prepares you for eternity

"Then I observed that the basic motive for success is the driving force of envy and jealousy! But this, too, is foolishness, chasing the wind." Ecclesiates 4:4

We are made to last forever.

• There is more to life than just here and now.

• This life is preparation for the next.

• When you live in light of eternity, your values change.

• God has a purpose for your life on earth but it doesn't end here.

• Measured against eternity, our time on earth is just a blink of an eye but its consequences last forever.

"And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever." 1 John 2:17

The way you see your life shapes your life.

• How you define life determines your destiny.

• Life is a test.

• Character is both developed and revealed by tests, and all of life is a test.

• Life is a trust.

• The more God gives you, the more responsible he expects you to be.

"If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones." Luke 16:10A

Life is a temporary assignment.

• Your identity is on eternity, and your homeland is in heaven.

• Earth is not our final home, we were created for something better.

• At death, you'll not leave home- you'll go home.

"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.." 2 Corinthians 4:18

The reason for everything: God

• Living for God's glory is the greatest achievement we can accomplish with our lives.

• Jesus will give you everything you need to live for him.

• When anything in creation fulfills it's purpose, it brings glory to God.

• We can bring glory to God by fulfilling our purposes: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, & Evangelism.

"For everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory. " Romans 11:36
