​Advanced Sewer System

​Dirty water and waste flowed through channels under homes, along the streets, which then emptied into the Indus river.

This enabled all to have bathrooms within their homes, despite social class.

When it rained people would store rain water within bricked wells. ​

​Houses were 2 stories high with flat roofs, made of mud bricks

Most houses were found in the suburban area in the lower city which was found to be larger than the city.

Similar to housing today, archeologists believe that the more wealthy had larger homes. ​
