​In this activity, we will review how to use the zero and the first conditionals. Are you ready?

​Zero conditional

Use

We use the zero conditional to talk about situations that are always ​true, events and results that always follow or in instructions.

Form

We form conditional sentences with if clause + result clause. The zero conditional uses the simple present in the if clause and the simple present or an imperative in the result clause:

​If + present + present / infinitive

​First conditional

Use

We use the first conditional to talk about a possible action or situation in the future, and the result or effect that follows.

Form

We form conditional sentences with if clause + result clause. The zero conditional uses the simple present in the if clause and will/might in the result clause:

​If + present + will / might
