​11/7 Objective: swbat construct countable noun phrases using noncount nouns by utilizing containers.

​Containers / Partitives:

These allow us to make noncount nouns countable: ​

​The structure is simple:

(# or quantifier) + container + of + noncount noun​

For example:

4 boxes of ceral .

3 bottles of water.

many bags of rice. ​

a few jars of peanut butter. ​

​*Notice since we are counting noncount nouns we use quantifiers like many & a few.

There isn't much milk in the fridge.

There aren't many bottles of milk in the fridge.
