Angle Notation and Conventions
A point represents a position. It is generally labelled with a capital letter.
3
Angle Notation and Conventions
An interval is a line with a fixed length and is sometimes called a line segment.
- AC and CB form two angles. One is acute and one is reflex.
- C is called the vertex
4
Angle Notation and Conventions
An angle is named using 3 points and can be written as: ∠C or ∠ACB or ∠BCA or ACB or BCA
- CA and CB are sometimes called arms.
- The pronumeral (lower case letter) represents the number of degrees in the angle.
5
Angle Notation and Conventions
Two angles that share a vertex and an arm are called adjacent angles.
