​WHAT IS A SUBJECT PRONOUN?

​

• A subject is who or what is DOING the main action.

• A Subject pronoun is a word that REPLACES a specific subject (usually a noun-person/place/thing).

• In Spanish, there are 12 subject pronouns. They are usually listed in a chart with SINGULAR pronouns (1 person) on the LEFT and PLURAL pronouns (more than 1 person) on the RIGHT.

​HINTS:

*one person’s name is always the same as ÉL or ELLA.

*More than one person’s name (not tú, yo, or Ud.) is always ELLOS or ELLAS.

*Anyone Y YO is always NOSOTROS or NOSOTRAS.

*Substitute vosotros/as when you have A PERSON/GROUP OF PEOPLE & YOU(English) or "NOMBRE(S)" Y TU in Spanish. *Vosotros and Uds. BOTH mean YOU ALL!!!
