This ​was a period of around 200 years (the 5th and 4th centuries BC) in Ancient Greece, marked by much of the eastern Aegean and northern regions of Greek culture.

​It takes place around 510 to 323 BC

During the Classical period, their culture turn into an incredible development, on the arts, Sculpture, poetry, philosophy and science.​

During Classical Greece the economy rose as many other areas, but in many times was also affected by the conflicts. ​

Hippocrates opened the way for modern medicine, classical art influenced the Italian Renaissance, and that is only to name a few examples.

What do you think happened in the politics and Government?

They had the birth of Democracy by the beginning of the period, although many city states, remained with different types of government, having still Kings and other forms.​

​People wasn't entirely ready for the Democracy back on the day.

This period was known for the constant fights and conflicts they had amongst themselves and also with other lands as Persia.

Also the military ​campaign of Alexander "The Great" to conquer lands on western Asia and Egypt.

​Restored internal peace to his country and by 339 had gained domination over all of Greece by military and diplomatic means.

​Was a Greek physician who is considered one of the most outstanding figures in the history of medicine. He is traditionally referred to as the "Father of Medicine"

​Was a king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon. He was undefeated in battle and is widely considered to be one of history's greatest and most successful military commanders.
