An adverb of manner is an adverb tha describes how and in what way the action of the verb is carried out.

The adverb can be formed by simply adding - ly to the adjective strong - strongly

careful -carefully

quick - quickly

BUT good - well

If the adjective ends with 'ic', we add '-ally'.

basic - basically

If the adjective ends with 'le', we replace the 'e' at the end with 'y'

​If the adjective ends in with 'y', we replace the 'y' with an 'i' and add '-ly'

easy - easily
