A house is a building which you and your family live. A house has many rooms in it that meet the needs of those living in it.
What is a house?

A yard is the land that is around the house. There are different parts of the yard. There is the front yard, the back yard, and the side yard.

The front yard is the yard in the front of the house. It is between the front door and the street. Many front yards have a drive way cutting through it.

The backyard is the part of the yard that is behind the house. Backyards sometimes have swimming pools or patios. The backyard is sometimes bigger than the front yard.

The side yard is the part of the yard that is beside the house. Many times people have their AC unit stored there.

The porch is sometimes called the "front porch", It is a like the living room, but outside.

Oswaldo spends much of his time in the backyard on the patio. Oswaldo's favorite thing to do is water the flowers and mow the grass with the lawn mower. There used to be pretty flowers in the side yard. But there is no flowers now. Oswaldo mowed over the flowers.
