STEM CHANGING VERBS

YO PUEDO CONJUGAR LOS VERBOS REGULARES DE AR, ER, IR.

• With some verbs, the stem of the verb also changes when you conjugate it.

• There are 4 types of stem-changing verbs.

• O-UE; E-IE; E-I; U-UE.

• Today we will focus on the E-IE stem changing verbs.

• These verbs have a stem-change in all forms except: NOSOTROS & VOSOTROS.

• STEP 1- COVER the ending of the verb with your right hand.

  EX. PENSAR

• STEP 2- The vowel to the LEFT is the one that receives a stem change.

  EX. PeNSAR

• STEP 3- Change the VOWEL based on the stem change.

  EX. PieNS__

**STEP 4- We conjugate the ending like normal!!
